An interactive children’s museum emphasizing science themes could see construction in Las Cruces if all the needed funding is secured.
The project, advanced by a group called the Early Childhood Coalition, as well as the Las Cruces-based Ngage New Mexico, an education advocacy group, would see the initial construction of a 4,000 to 10,000 square-foot museum and learning hub with at least 30 individual interactive exhibits.
Second phase construction, according to city documents, would add up to 40,000 square feet housing a theater, classrooms, and one hundred interactive exhibits.
A site for the project has not yet been announced, but organizers for the museum have already launched a fund-raising drive for its construction.
