New Fort Collins Home Project is Response to Explosive Growth

With a population that has nearly doubled since the 1990s to just over 160,000 people today, developers are constantly trying to find sites for new housing construction in Fort Collins.

Now the Colorado Springs-based Landhuis Company has announced plans to build nearly 220 homes in the 6000 block of South Timberline Road on the south side of the city.

The project will go up on 46 acres in what is said to be one of the last farming areas in Fort Collins.

According to plans, the development will see the construction of 152 single-family homes and 64 townhouses.

The single-family homes are expected to list for around $400,000, with the townhouses going for anywhere between $250,000 and $350,000.

The project is still in the early planning stages and not expected to break ground this year.
