A plan to build what is being described as a “horizontally-integrated” mixed-use project that will emphasize a neighborhood-like setting with walkable space is expected to be reviewed by members of the Town of Erie’s Planning Commission in the next week.
The project, called Nine Mile Corner, is slated to go up on a 45-acre site at the intersection of Arapahoe Road and U.S. Route 287 on the western side of Erie.
As conceived by the Phoenix-based real estate development firm Evergreen Devco, the project will see the construction of some 10 four-story residential structures and a club house on the east side of the site, with a variety of large and medium-sized retail and restaurant tenants dotting the site’s west side.
The developer is seeking a zoning change for the site from community commercial to planned development.
