A modern facility that will house up to 40 private rooms for patients recovering from strokes and surgeries is scheduled to go up in Lafayette, Colorado.

The project is the result of a partnership between the Boulder Community Health, based in Boulder, Colorado, and Earnest Health of Albuquerque, which currently operates just over two dozen post-acute hospitals and seven rehab hospitals in eleven states.

Although the specific site for the new facility has not yet been announced, officials with both companies say the new project is expected to cost around $24 million to build and will also include a 6,000 square-foot gym as well as an outdoor therapeutic courtyard.

According to the details of the plan, Boulder Community Health will own the land and building, while Earnest Health will operate the facility.

Construction of the rehab hospital is expected to launch this fall with a target completion date of the final quarter of 2018.
