Trendy, Hip Hotel Geared for Millenials to Go Up in Arizona

They have lobbies and rooms filled with bright and odd colors, a flowering of different-sized tables and lighting fixtures, polished cement floors, and oversized windows.

Now the latest location for a boutique-style Aloft Hotel is set to go up on a currently vacant 2.4-acre site at the intersection of Glendale Avenue and 93rd Street, on the south end of Glendale, Arizona.

The four-story hotel is the latest planned location for a chain launched in 2008 by the Stamford, Connecticut Starwood Hotels and Resorts

Today that chain is rapidly expanding and has more than 126 locations worldwide, with a particular focus on the East coast of the U.S.

The 100-room Aloft in Glendale is being developed by HCW Development of Branson, Missouri, and will include a swimming pool, bar, meeting rooms, and restaurant space.

Construction is expected to begin later this year with a target fall 2018 completion date.
