Large Industrial Park Set to Go Up in Southern Arizona

Plans are underway for the construction of more than 2.2 million square feet of new industrial space in Glendale, Arizona.

The project will go up near the intersection of Loop 303 and Bethany Road in the West Valley section of the city.

Roughly 108 acres for the new project have been purchased by the Toronto, Canada-based developer WPT Industrial REIT for just over $23 million.

The new industrial park will be called the Survival Logistics Center with plans for a phased-in construction schedule.

Work on an initial 1.1 million square feet of industrial space could launch sometime before spring.

WPT is a growing presence in the industry, owning and managing more than 35 million square feet of distribution, industrial, and warehouse spaces.

Last year the company announced a $730 million purchase of more than two dozen distribution and logistics properties in California, Florida, and New Jersey.

Some of the WPT’s tenants include both the FedEx Corporation and Amazon, providing the company with a strong presence in the booming e-commerce universe.
