The auction of a vast 55-acre corporate campus in Broomfield, Colorado may take place a month from now.

Telecommunications company Lumen Industries earlier this year said it wanted to put the campus, which includes four separate buildings for a total of nearly 792,000 square feet, up for sale.

Three of those structures were built in 1999, with the fourth completed the following year.

In announcing the auction, Lumen, which is based in Monroe, Louisiana, said that it had recently completed a survey of its various properties with a focus on learning “new ways to work, to interact with, and to serve our customers.”

Consequently, the company said in a statement, that it had decided to move its operations and staff to its offices in Denver, while putting the Broomfield property up for sale.

Lumen formerly went by the name of CenturyLink, Incorporated, and has specialized in network services, cloud solutions, and communication, among other services.

In every way, the campus has been regarded as a desirable property for investors, with Class A office buildings including a cafeteria and fitness centers, and an undeveloped 9.5-acre lot.

In a listing presented by the Denver offices of Newmark Realty it was said that the auction of the property would start with a minimum bid of $6.5 million.

While the original auction date of late February was cancelled by Lumen, a new date has been set for April 21.
