A Colorado hotel, built when Theodore Roosevelt was president in one of the most historically significant towns in the state, is now up for sale.
Located at 600 North B Street in Cripple Creek, the Cripple Creek Hospitality House is a two-story mansion-style property encompassing around 10,600 square feet.
The two-story Victorian-style structure houses 14 spacious rooms and includes a front balcony, patio, and meeting event space.
Uniquely, the property as listed also includes a nearly 20-acre recreational vehicle park to the rear of the building.
Listed for just under $4 million, the hotel is part of a National Historic Landmark District that includes the Teller County Courthouse, St. Paul’s Catholic Church, and the Midland Terminal Depot, all built around the time that Cripple Creek was a gold mining center.
According to the group History Colorado, the Cripple Creek vicinity, with more than five hundred mines, produced an estimated $400 million in gold in its heyday.
The Hospitality House, originally built as a hospital, is being listed by the real estate company AVN Northco, which has offices in Denver.
