A more than century-old commercial building on the northwest side of Aurora is now on the market.
Located at 9742 E. Colfax Avenue, the one-story structure has for more than 50 years housed the popular La Cueva Restaurant. The restaurant has been advertised as a “gathering place for families, friends, and food lovers seeking authentic Mexican cuisine.”
Built in 1925, when the population of Aurora stood at less than 1,000 residents compared to its current 400,000, the structure is designed as a Class C building and measures just under 4,000 square feet.
It is located on a block populated with one-story retail stores and restaurants in a neighborhood once regarded as the city’s primary district that has seen some $20 million in redevelopment work.
The property is being listed by the Centennial office of realtor Hoff & Leigh.
