In a move to expand its health care education programs, Front Range Community College has announced plans to build a new 55,000 square foot facility that will be a part of its Fort Collins campus.
As currently planned, the structure will go up at the intersection of Harmony Road and Shields Street and will house classrooms, laboratories, offices, and common study areas.
What is being called the Health Care Careers Center will see course offerings in emergency medical services, pharmacy technology, nursing, and dental assistance, among other subject areas.
The new structure is expected to cost just over $34 million to build.
Plans for the center will be reviewed by the Fort Collins Planning and Zoning Board later this year. If approved, work could begin on the new facility early next year with an anticipated completion date of summer 2020.
Front Range Community College is based in Westminster, with campus locations in Brighton, Longmont, and Fort Collins.
