A major data center provider with plans of expanding nationally has announced plans to build a massive new campus in Goodyear, Arizona.
The Santa Clara, California-based Vantage Data Centers said the new campus will be going up on 50 acres of land that will ultimately see the construction of more than 1 million square feet of facility space.
The project is slated for a currently vacant site at the southeast corner of S. Bullard Avenue and W. Van Buren Street.
“This newest development in the southwest is an ideal location for our customers due to its tax incentives, lower power costs and rich connectivity,” Sureel Choksi, the chief executive office of Vantage Date Centers, said in a statement on the new project.
“Our strong sales pipeline is a testament that customers are attracted to our high-quality data centers with a focus on sustainable development and operational excellence,” Choski added.
Providing data center services to a variety of high-tech clients, Vantage also recently announced plans to build a 42-acre campus in Ashburn, Virginia.
If all goes according to plan, the Arizona project, which will include three separate data center buildings as well as office space, will see construction launching later this spring with an anticipated completion date of early 2020.
