One of the largest ranches in northern Colorado, spanning nearly 11,000 acres, is now on the market.
Listing price: $65 million.
The Middle Creek Ranch is located off County Road 27 just outside the town of Oak Creek. Established in 1862 well before Colorado was a state, the ranch has been owned by the same family for the last 34 years and is widely known as a retreat and working farm.
The property includes four ranch homes, including a more than 6,100-square-foot primary residence with four bedrooms. A separate structure serves as a lodge and measures around 2,500 square feet, housing a gym, game room, office, and a chef’s kitchen.
Additional features: two trout ponds, horseback trails, detached garage, and shooting range.
According to the publication Robb Report, the property, with a cowboy house, barns, and shop, has “all the infrastructure needed for haying, grazing, and running livestock.”
Other media accounts have described the property as being comprised of multiple stylish houses and serene settings.
The property is being listed with realtors Hall and Hall, which specializes in ranch properties and has offices in nearby Steamboat Springs.
Oak Creek, roughly 5 miles to the southeast of the ranch, was established as a coal mining town and has had a steady population of less than 1,000 people for the last six decades.
