Growing its Colorado footprint, the popular fast food chain Chick Fil-A has announced plans to build two new locations in Colorado Springs.
The Atlanta-based company says it wants to put up a 2,700-square-foot outlet at the Powers Center, located at the southeast corner of Palmer Park Boulevard and Powers Boulevard.
The new structure will include a patio area with space enough for forty seats, and two drive-through lanes.
The second location is expected to see the construction of a just over 4,800-square-foot outlet near the intersection of Woodmen Road and Mohawk Road. That store will have 90 indoor seats and a patio large enough to accommodate 20 seats.
The company, known for its chicken sandwiches and waffle potato fries, so far has just under two dozen locations in the Centennial State. Chick Fil-A’s Colorado presence is its largest in the West, excluding California.
The company has historically saturated the East Coast and Deep South markets, with around 70 locations in Georgia alone.
Launched in 1946 as the Dwarf Grill, Chick Fil-A currently has more than 3,300 locations. Those stores generally range in size from 4,000 square feet to 6,000 square feet, although one five-story location in New York measures upwards of 12,000 square feet.
Those stores, in both newly built buildings or repurposed structures, typically include roped-off space for customer ordering lines, seating space, subway white tile, and wood walls. The outlets, notes the site Oreate AI, feature a “unique architectural style that reflects both functionality and warmth.”
