Both Denver and Flagstaff have found places on a top ten list of America’s hottest luxury markets, according to a new survey.
With an average sales price of just over $1.6 million, and an average listing price at more than $1.1 million, the Mile High City placed first on the list of 289 markets across the country compiled by the Business Journals.
Real estate turnover in Denver is also on the brisk side, with an average of 89 days on the market.
Of the top ten markets mentioned, six are in either the South or the West, with Flagstaff coming in at number three with an average sales price of just under $1.6 million, and an average listing price of nearly $1.9 million.
Like Denver, the number of days the average luxury property stayed on the market in 2025 was relatively short: 96 days.
The publication came about its rankings using figures provided by International Exchange Incorporated, and looking at sales and pricing momentum.
The ranking shows that luxury property sales nationwide have been consistently on the increase since before the Covid 19 pandemic, enjoying an overall 59% jump in the last 6 years.
While California has continued to play a dominant role in the luxury market, with 35 localities listed on the top 100, Florida has proven equally competitive: St. Petersburg came in at number 5, with an average sales price of $1.5 million and average listing price of just over $1.3 million.
Bar Harbour, Florida, meanwhile, placed ten on the top ten list, with an average sales price of almost $2.9 million, and listing average of $3.2 million.
The rankings, notes the publication, is limited to “zip codes that had an average sales price of $1.5 million or greater,” with a minimum of 10 such listings sold during the most recent quarter.
Only one other Western city made the top ten: Las Vegas, Nevada, with an average sales price of just under $1.8 million and average listing price of around $1 million. The average days on the market for luxury properties in Las Vegas was somewhat longer than that seen in Denver and Flagstaff at 126 days.
