The times remain good for those at the top, according to a recent construction industry survey.

Number-crunching the responses of construction executives, the company PAS Incorporated is reporting that overall salaries in this sector saw a 5.2% increase in the final quarter of last year.

PAS, which is based in Saline, Michigan and specializes in construction industry wage and compensation research, says in its most recent survey publication that the 2024 numbers were slightly lower than what was seen in 2023 when the increases came in at 5.6%.

The PAS Executive Compensation Survey for Contractors also noted that the 5.6% increase in 2023 was the highest level of increase seen in the industry in the last 23 years.

A separate report published several months ago by the National Association of Home Builders said that construction industry chief executive officers were on average making more than $150,000 a year, with more than half of those surveyed pulling in upwards of $172,000 annually.

Lawyers working in the construction industry were making around $166,000, with the top salaries in this sector seeing more than $221,000 annually.

Another survey published by the site Payscale pegs the average current construction industry executive salary at $164,000, with the highest salaries averaging $242,000.
