Plans are rapidly advancing for the construction of some 350 condominiums that will go up within a north Scottsdale mixed-use community.
That community is known as the One Scottsdale development, a 126-acre project that has already seen some residential and commercial construction.
Located just to the north of Arizona State Route 101 and the east of N. Scottsdale Road, the larger site envisions upwards of 2,350 residential units and some 1.5 million square feet of commercial development.
Last month, members of the Scottsdale Planning Commission gave their unanimous approval to the building of the 350 condos, with final approval to be voted upon by the Scottsdale City Council.
The One Scottsdale project has been spearheaded by DMB Associates of Scottsdale, which has advertised the community as one featuring residential spaces along with “retail, restaurants, and Class A office space,” for those “seeking an urban lifestyle in close proximity to amenities.”
Earlier reports have indicated that a full build-out of One Scottsdale may not be complete until the end of the decade.
A real estate development company, DMB specializes in master-planned communities, and has undertaken similarly large-scale projects in the Arizona cities of Buckeye and Mesa, and Rancho Mission Viejo in California.
