Plans have been revealed in Denver for the construction of a five-story office building set to go up on a site that has been vacant for the last three years.
Denver-based Oz Architecture submitted plans to the City of Denver last week showing a structure measuring nearly 38,500 square feet, with the stories built above a partially below-grade parking level.
The first floor will contain around 2,600 square feet of office space; with the upper floors offering 6,200 square feet to 9,500 square feet of office space. The upper floors will also have around 270 square feet of common space.
For decades the site at 55-65 S. Colorado Boulevard was the home to a private one-story residence and one-story commercial structure. The commercial structure was for several years a location for the Peepers Optical store.
The site is in a neighborhood of both residential and commercial structures, across the street from the Pare De Sufrir church, which was demolished in 2023.
Concept plans for the new five-story building are currently being reviewed by the City of Denver.
