A large, more than 57,100-square-foot retail property built more than 50 years ago is now being listed for sale in Roswell.
Located at 1000 S. Main Street, the structure, which has housed an Ashley Home Store outlet for the last five years, is designated as a Class C building.
Sitting on a just under 5-acre site, the structure is in a part of the city populated with strip malls and one-story residential properties.
Formerly the home to a Sears store, the building underwent some renovation in 2022 and 2026.
Sears ended its Roswell operations in early 2017 as part of a nationwide wave of store closures by the giant retailer.
The re-use of the Roswell Sears space is classic of patterns seen across the country as many of the former Sears stores have been turned into space for other retailers or even repurposed as offices and affordable housing
The property is being listed by the Carlsbad-based realtor Triple J Rentals and has an asking price of $4 million.
