A company dedicated to providing research space for high-tech and science-oriented start-ups in North Colorado may soon be seeing the construction of an 8,000 square-foot expansion in Fort Collins.
Innosphere, which is headquartered in a 30,000 square foot structure in north Fort Collins at 320 E. Vine Street, says it needs the new space to help support the growing incubator needs of start-ups.
The new $3 million expansion will also house crucial wet lab space for those same start-ups.
To that end, the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado has just announced that it is providing up to $100,000 in seed funding for Innosphere’s expansion plans.
Innosphere officials say they expect to receive additional funding for the new construction through their corporate partners, grants, and other foundation giving.
With additional offices in Boulder and Denver, Innosphere last year helped launch nearly twenty area companies.
