A two-day auction is scheduled to begin on July 6 for a prominent 17-story office structure in downtown Denver.
Located at 216 16th Street, the structure, which was completed in 1983, has housed a number of businesses, law firm, and government offices through the years and has included some ground level retail space.
It is designated as a Class B structure.
Officially called Columbine Place and comprising just a little over 149,000 square feet, the building has in recent years passed from owner to owner, including Columbine West 2 LLC, which is a subsidiary of the Toulon Development Company of Montreal.
The structure, according to the Denver Post, has needed “significant repairs” that include issues with a massive heating and cooling system, fire dry system, and utility outage issues.
Located on one of the busiest streets in downtown Denver and surrounded by any number of modernistic, multi-story office structures, the building is currently just under a third leased.
The auction, as listed by the CRBE firm of Denver, has an advertised minimum starting bid of $700,000.
