A site that will eventually be the home to a long-planned 225,000-square-foot retail center in the fast-growing San Tan Valley has changed hands for around $10 million.
The property is located at the northeast corner of Hunt Highway and Gary Road and encompasses 31 acres.
Purchased jointly by the Pennant Development and the company Realm, the land is slated to become the home to the Skyline Ranch Marketplace. That marketplace is expected to include several freestanding restaurants, a handful of retail tenants, and a WinCo Foods grocery store chain outlet.
Work on the Skyline Ranch Marketplace is expected to begin later this summer.
Pennant Development is based in Scottsdale and has long had a focus on developing neighborhood shopping centers in the Southwest. Realm is based in Solana Beach, California and specializes in real estate investment.
Located just under 50 miles to the southeast of Phoenix, San Tan Valley has seen a marked increase in its population in the last two decades, transitioning from a mostly agricultural community to one that is more suburban.
