A large swath of vacant land located at Denver’s ambitious Pena Station Next could see the construction of a new multifamily community with exactly 268 residential units.
The Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin-based Continental Properties has submitted a site plan to the City of Denver calling for the construction of 11 residential buildings, as well as both attached and detached garages, and a clubhouse.
To be called the Springs at Pena Station, the project would also feature green space as well as pet playgrounds, an increasingly popular offering in larger, upscale residential communities.
Specializing in high-quality apartment communities, as well as retail and hospitality development, Continental Properties has spearheaded projects primarily in states in the Midwest and South.
To date, the company has developed five separate residential communities in Colorado, contributing to a national total of just over 25,000 homes.
The new Denver project will most likely be a part of Continental’s “Springs” line, which emphasizes various-sized units with high ceilings and hardwood floors, patios and balconies, in communities featuring swimming pools and fitness centers.
Pena Station Next is a 220-acre master-planned smart city whose anchor is the Regional Transportation District’s 61st & Pena station. It is the last stop on the A Line heading to the Denver International Airport.
Plans currently call for the construction of more than 1 million square feet of office space at Pena Station Next.
An exact construction schedule for the Springs at Pena Station has not been announced as the project awaits city approval.
