One of the most iconic hotels in southern New Mexico is now on the market with an asking price of exactly $3.8 million.

Located at 2160 W. Picacho Avenue, the Big Chile Inn has been distinguished for having what has been described as the world’s largest red chile pepper, measuring 47 feet across and weighing 2.5 tons, at the front of its property.

Built in 1967, the Big Chile Inn is housed in a two-story structure designated as a Class C building. While filming the classic movie Hang Em’ High, the actor Clint Eastwood stayed at the hotel.

The property, which was formerly an America’s Best Value Inn, saw renovation work in 2014, and is made up of four separate structures, a swimming pool, and landscaped courtyard.

The hotel is being listed by the realtor NewGen Advisory, which has offices in Phoenix.
