One of the tallest office buildings in southeastern New Mexico, built the year John F. Kennedy was elected president, is being listed for sale for $1.5 million.
The five-story Dan Garey Tower building, located at 1601 N. Turner Street in Hobbs, has long been a structural mainstay just to the north of the city’s downtown area.
Measuring exactly 50,000 square feet, the structure is classified as Class B office space and enjoys a 100% occupancy rate with both private businesses and government offices.
Sitting on a 2.4-acre site with parking space for up to 160 vehicles, the building features recently updated lobby space. Uniquely, at the time of the structure’s construction, it was over-engineered to allow for the addition of five more floors.
Listed with the Hobbs-based Robin & Associates Commercial Real Estate firm, the tower is named in honor of Don Garey, Hobbs businessman and civic leader.
