A one-story strip shopping center in Mesa built in 1978 is now on the market with an asking price of just over $5.2 million.
Located at 4815 E. Main Street, the Main Street Plaza is representative of many small retail plazas that were built in Mesa during the 1970s when the city’s population stood at around 65,000 on the way to the current 514,000.
Designated as a Class C structure, the building comprises just under 32,000 square feet of space, with the footprint of the individual units ranging in size from 800 square feet to more than 5,000 square feet.
The building, which was listed for sale nearly a decade ago for $2.5 million, is currently more than 75% leased.
Tenants in the plaza include a thrift store, spa, grocery store, and laundromat.
Listed by the Scottsdale-based Matthews Real Estate Investment Services, the plaza is in a part of Mesa populated with similar-sized retail operations.
