Warehouse and office space that once belonged to the Arizona Daily Sun in Flagstaff is now on the market for $5 million.
Located at 1751 S. Thompson Street on the west side of Flagstaff, the one-story structure was built in 1997 and measures just over 23,700 square feet.
The long-standing Flagstaff daily announced last year that it was discontinuing its printing operations in the city in favor of relocating those operations to a printing facility in the Deer Valley section of Phoenix.
That Deer Valley facility is run by the Arizona Republic newspaper.
The Arizona Sun had run its offices and printing facilities out of the Thompson Street location for some 26 years. At the time of the announcement, officials with the publication said the age of the roughly 55-year-old printing press was a factor in determining the move.
Launched in 1883, the Arizona Daily Sun is one of the oldest continually operating newspapers in the West.
Listed with Linton Real Estate of Flagstaff, the Thompson Street facility features a warehouse with two overhead dock doors and another two drive-in doors. The building, on a 2.9-acre site, also includes two Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant ramps.
