An elegant resort property dating to 1910 is now on the market in Taos.
Located at 4405 Cordoba Lane, the Palacio de Marquesa has in recent year been classified as a “bed and breakfast,” with private courtyards on a 1.2-acre site.
Originally built as a family compound, the one-story structure houses eight rooms, and saw extensive renovation work just over a decade ago.
Listed for $2.6 million, the primary building is designated as a Class B structure with fireplaces, a common area living room, dining room, and kitchen.
Last year the guidebook, Moon Santa Fe, Taos, and Albuquerque, said the resort’s rooms “have an air of what might be called pueblo minimalism: dark viga ceilings, with white walls, white leather chairs, and marble baths.”
“Silver and white accents are woven throughout the property,” the Taos News noted in a feature story on the resort, “creating a feeling of cohesion and elegance.”
The property is being listed by long-time Santa Fe-based broker Paul Duran.
