A grand brick church dating to 1890 is now being listed for sale in Denver’s historic Five Points neighborhood.
Located at 701 E. 23rd Avenue, the structure has been the longtime home of a Church of God in Christ facility, and measures around 4,800 square feet.
Described as an architectural masterpiece, the church in more recent years has provided office space to a hospice service provider called Comfort Care, as well as the Five Points Business Association.
The building has been granted a historic easement designation by the nonprofit Historic Denver group, which prohibits the demolition of the property or any modifications that will harm its historic character.
The structure, which sits on a 9,275-square-foot corner lot, is distinguished by its massive arched brick window frames, colored windows, wooden floor, and steeple.
The property is being offered by the Denver offices of Madison Commercial Properties. A sales price for the building and site is not listed and is instead subject to an offer.
