An 18-story apartment complex may soon be going up in Denver at the site of a former French restaurant.
Scenic Investments, based in New York, wants to build the structure, which would house 416 residential units, at the corner of Lincoln Street and East 8th Avenue.
The project would also include ground floor retail space measuring 7,000 square feet as well as 137,000 square feet of underground parking.
The property is well known to Denver residents as the one-time home of Le Central, a French restaurant that operated on the site from the early 1980s to 2015. In recent years, the structure has housed the Juna Salon, Gutter Protective Services, and the Harm Reduction Center.
Located in the city’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, the building is one of the last structures originally built as a residence more than a century ago. Structures in the vicinity today are made up of multi-story office and apartment buildings.
Scenic Investments, which was launched in the summer of 2011, specializes in multifamily and business real estate projects nationally.
