Work is expected to begin sometime next spring on the construction of four warehouses set to go up in a newly created business park in Peoria, Arizona.
The project is being spearheaded by the Barclay Group, a real estate development company which has offices in Phoenix.
Target site for the new project is within the borders of the Vistancia master planned community, which comprises around 320 acres on the northwest side of the city. That community is expected to see the eventual building of around 10,500 new homes, as well as restaurant and retail space.
The warehouse project will see the construction of a total of 239,000 square feet of built space off Westward Skies Drive near busy Arizona State Route 303 and to the west of the gigantic Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company’s site.
According to information released by the Barclay Group, the four structures will range in size from 43,600 square feet to 93,600 square feet, with “flexibility allowing the spaces to be divisible down to 9,400 square feet.”
A general completion date for the project is set for the spring of 2027.
The Butler Design Group of Phoenix is the project architect, while the real estate services company JLL, whose headquarters are based in Chicago, has signed on as the project’s leasing agent.
The Barclay Group has been particularly invested in large retail projects located in Arizona, Colorado, and Florida, among a host of other states.
