At least two new office buildings are expected to be a part of the 24-acre Verde at Cooley Station development in Gilbert.
Plans call for the construction of a 38,000 square-foot medical office building, as well as a smaller 24,000 square foot structure.
The second structure will additionally house apartment units, and both community and retail space.
The two buildings are a part of the much larger 650-acre mixed-used project near the intersection of E. Williams Field Road and S. Recker Road.
The project, which has bee under development by the company SB2-VB LLC, is designed to include a wide variety of retail and restaurant operations. The developer has described the project as the “Heartbeat of Gilbert.”
The larger development was officially launched in the fall of 2019. At that time, Norman Brody, an SB2-VB managing member, said the Verde at Cooley Station would not only have plenty of office and retail space, but also “unique wall graphics, large scale sculpture in public spaces, a children’s play area and a programmed performance venue hosting a myriad of events.”
Work on the two new office buildings is expected to begin by late summer, with an anticipated early 2022 completion date.
