New Steamboat Springs Commercial Offering Shows Thriving Market

A building housing a restaurant popular with the ski crowd in Steamboat Springs is now on the market with an asking price of nearly $6 million.

The price may seem high for a space that measures no more than around 5,100 square feet, but this is, after all, Steamboat Springs where the average monthly rent is nearing the $2,000 mark and the average price of a home is well over $1.4 million.

Located at 2250 Apres Ski Way, the one-story structure was built in 2009 and sits on a less than one-acre site.

The building is currently home to the Truffle Pig restaurant, a dinery offering what is described as New American fare, a fine dining combination of traditional American food combined with Asian, Latin American, and Mediterranean cuisine.

The restaurant has been hailed in the book Moon Colorado for a “warm and welcoming atmosphere” that includes a “blazing fire pit on the outdoor deck.”

The property is being listed by the Steamboat Group real estate agency.

Once advertised as the “most friendly town in the west” and famous for both its natural hot springs and ski resorts, Steamboat Springs has in recent years enjoyed a booming real estate market with residential units seeing a more than 33% increase last year.
