Plans have now been announced for the building of a new 114-room hotel that will go up on the north side of Phoenix and be branded as a Hyatt Studios Hotel.
The project will become reality on around 2.3 acres on the northeast corner of Sonoran Desert Drive and 29th Avenue at a site where future retail development on an additional 2 or so acres has been proposed.
Significantly, for a growing part of the city, the new Hyatt Studios Hotel will be built in the vicinity of the rapidly expanding Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company’s campus.
Project designer for the four-story hotel is the firm of Stewart + Reindersma Architecture of Scottsdale.
The Hyatt Studios brand is designed to cater to travelers seeking midscale to luxury extended stay offerings. The hotel’s guest rooms have been advertised as offering the “comfort of a studio apartment” with kitchen and workspace areas.
The hotels additionally feature fitness space and 24-hour lobby grocery stores. The brand, which was introduced in 2023, has recently seen new hotels being built in Philadelphia, Tallahassee, and Tampa.
