New Upscale Apartment Complex Announced for Busy Student Section of Tempe

Plans are underway for the construction of a $75 million modern apartment complex that will go up near the Tempe campus of Arizona State University.

The project belongs to the Dallas-based Trinsic Residential Group and will see construction on a nearly 5-acre site defined as urban infill by city officials.

With the project having already secured zoning and site plan approval, work could begin by April on what is being called the Aura Apache, located in the 1800 block of East Apache Boulevard.

The property was purchased by Trinsic for $7.2 million.

As proposed, the project will feature 30 three-story townhouses. Those structures will house units ranging in size from 650 square feet to around 1,300 square feet.

According to city documents, the project will also include nearly 5,000 square feet of what is described as customer service space, a leasing office, and six-level parking garage.

Additionally planned: a building featuring separate co-working office space and measuring around 4,700 square feet.

The complex is going up in a part of Tempe populated with recently built multi-story, apartment complexes and retail space, one mile to the southeast of ASU.

Trinsic specializes in multi-family, high-end projects, many of which are in dense urban areas in Arizona, Colorado, and Texas, among other states.
