Spacious El Paso Office Building, Once the Home of a Thriving Clothing Manufacturer, is Up for Sale8/1/2023 A just over 95,000-square-foot building in El Paso that was formerly a manufacturing plant for a famous denim jean company is up for sale for $19.3 million. Located at 1359 Lomaland Drive on the east side of El Paso, the Lomaland Center is classified as a Class B property and for years has been the home to any number of medical, community, and government offices. Originally built as a manufacturing plant for Levi Strauss and Company, producing the company’s signature brand denim jeans and other clothing products, the building went through a transformation two decades ago when, in a downsizing move, it was one of three factories the company closed in Texas. The closing of the Strauss operation in El Paso has since been regarded as the near end of a local garment industry that was the third largest of its kind, behind only New York and Los Angeles. Since then, the building has undergone an extensive renovation, today housing a multiplicity of offices on a 12-acre site. The property is being listed by the El Paso-based realtors Sonny Brown Associates. By Garry Boulard
