A 25,000-square-foot building in El Paso housing an existing Office Depot is on the market with an asking price of just under $6 million.
The one-story structure, built in 1992, is located at 801 Sunland Park Drive and is being listed by the New York-based real estate company NNN Investments.
The El Paso sale comes as the Office Depot company, launched in 1986 and headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida, has been in the process of selling off properties across the country due to, among other factors, a changed market.
The company currently has around 860 Office Depot and Office Max stores, down from more than 1,200 in late 2020; closing more than 300 outlets in the years after the two companies merged.
In recent months, the company has closed stores in Denver; Evanston, Illinois; Raleigh, North Carolina; and Arroyo Grande, California.
Meanwhile, buildings housing operating Office Depot locations are currently up for sale in Clovis, New Mexico; Mesa, Arizona; and Montrose, Colorado.
