Another former Denny’s Restaurant location is now on the market; this one based in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.
Located at 2255 N. Date Street, the structure was built in 1999 and measures around 6,000 square feet.
The Spartanburg, South Carolina-based Denny’s, also known as Denny’s Diner, with around 1,500 restaurants, began to close some of its properties around two years ago owing to a decline in sales.
Last year the company shuttered what was described as 150 of its underperforming locations, with reports indicating that more may be on the way before the end of this year.
One of the reasons for the underperformance, notes The Wall publication, has been due to a “decrease in dinner visits as 45% of restaurant owners claim customer traffic declined between May of 2025 and May of 2026.”
The latest figures, continues the publication, “marks the 15th time in the last 16 months that restaurant owners reported a net decline in customer traffic.”
The closures have come as the company has been purchased for $620 million by a group of investors, now making it a privately held company.
The asking price for the Truth or Consequences location, which is being listed by the owner Stephen Rouke, is $875,000.
