A long-running trend in most cities, reaching back to at least the late 1960s, has seen downtown residential properties converted into office space.
Oftentimes, the homes were built more than 100 years ago in neighborhoods that were originally entirely residential, only to see those neighborhoods slowly give way to retail and commercial space.
Such is the case with a graceful, two-story brick home built in 1907 in the West University Historic District of Tucson.
Located at 620 N. 6th Avenue, the property is now being listed for sale for just over $757,200 with the Tucson-based Buzz Isaacson Realty.
Described as a structure featuring “Mission Revival architecture with Victorian influence,” the building today comprises 3,400 square feet of office space, as well as a basement measuring nearly 250 square feet.
Formerly serving as a boarding house and later the offices for an advertising agency, the building has more recently been the home to a non-profit entity called Salvation LLC.
The West University Historic District of Tucson encompasses more than 700 homes, the vast majority of which were built between 1880 and 1930 and are known for their Mission Revival architectural details.
Average home prices in the district have a wide range of anywhere between $175,000 and $825,000.
