Phoenix Mixed-Use Campus Project to Get Initial City Review Later This Month

The north end of Phoenix may see the construction of a new mixed-use campus that will include medical offices, commercial, and retail space in a two-phase project.

Cypress Development Partners, which is based in Scottsdale, wants to build what is being called The Interchange on nearly two dozen undeveloped acres near 27th Avenue and Rose Garden Lane within the 56-square mile Deer Valley Village.

First phase of the project could see the building of around 45,000 square feet of medical office space and will additionally include three separate office buildings ranging in size from 20,400 square feet to 27,000 square feet.

That first phase is also expected to include a four-story hotel with 130 rooms.

A real estate development company, Cypress Development Partners, has made a name for itself specializing in healthcare properties. Spearheading projects nationally, Cypress is perhaps best known regionally for its development of the Cedar Medical Collaborative in Flagstaff.

That $100 million project saw the development of a nearly 90,000 square feet of medical office and micro hospital space.

The Interchange, which is being designed by the Dalke Design Group of Tempe, is scheduled for review two weeks from now before the Planning Hearing Office of Phoenix.
