A new and extremely large entertainment venue may be in the works for northern Colorado depending upon the findings of the company that wants to build the project.

The Venu Holding Corporation, which is based in Colorado Springs, is an entertainment and hospitality company that designs, builds, and manages such venues. It is the originator of the Sunset Amphitheater in Colorado Springs, an open-air concert venue with a seating capacity of 8,000 people that opened in 2024.

Now the company has announced that it is engaging in talks with officials in Boulder, Fort Collins, Greeley, and Loveland about the possibility of building an even larger entertainment destination, one that could perhaps serve upwards of 12,500 people.

According to reports, the new venue, as envisioned, would include immersive entertainment technology, hospitality offerings, and around-the-year program offerings that would include concerts, festivals, and corporate events.

In a statement, JW Roth, chief executive officer of Venu, said the company has so far been “encouraged by the interest we have received across the region and can’t wait to share more on this world-class development in the future.”

A press release issued from the company’s office additionally said that the proposed project is “poised to become a defining landmark for the state of Colorado and a generational cultural anchor for the region.”

Besides its earlier Colorado Springs project, Venu is currently in the process of building a new entertainment space in the city of Centennial. That $75 million project is seeing the repurposing of the 15-year-old one-time Celebrity Lanes bowling alley at 15755 E. Arapahoe Road.
