An ambitious single family project that is currently in the approval process could see the future construction of nearly 100 new homes just to the east of the central Colorado town of Peyton.
What is being called the Jane Davis Ranch will go up just to the northeast of the Meadow Lake Airport and will see not only the building of 93 homes, but also some commercial space.
Last month members of the El Paso County Planning Commission gave their approval to a sketch plan for the ambitious project, which will go up on a 397-acre site at the corner of Judge Orr Road and Robert Road.
According to county records, the project will also include minimum lot sizes of 2.5 acres, 6.4 acres of open space, and nearly 3 acres for a regional walking trail.
A county planning staff report has remarked that the project’s sketch plan “illustrates a development which is similar in terms of density and land use to the surrounding developments.”
Owner of the project is the Peyton-based Jane Davis Living Trust, while William Guman & Associates of Colorado Springs is serving as the planner.
