An entertainment hub in Albuquerque that bills itself as the “coolest hangout spot” in the city has announced plans to expand its footprint.
Located on the northeast side of the city at 4720 Alexander Boulevard in a 46,000-square-foot structure that was built in 1995, the Revel entertainment center houses everything from a wide variety of musical acts to a series of bars and restaurant space.
One of the most popular club spaces in the southwest, Revel was opened in late 2019 in a structure that was once the home to the Sports Authority. The repurposing of the building came with a reported price tag of some $12.2 million.
Now Revel has announced plans to build an outdoor amphitheater that will go up next door to the Alexander Boulevard facility. It is expected that the amphitheater will have enough seating space for upwards of 900 patrons.
Reports indicate that the new Revel project, on a currently vacant 9.5-acre site, will include concession space, multi-layer party decks, and a playground, among other amenities.
Work on the project could begin by this fall, with an anticipated completion date of the spring of 2027.
