Plans are now underway for the construction of a new Sprouts Farmers Market store to go up in the town of Fountain Hills, roughly 20 miles to the northeast of Scottsdale.

The just-over 23,0000-square-foot store will be a part of the Four Peaks Shopping Center, which is located at 16825 E. Shea Boulevard on the south side of the town.

Earlier this summer, an official statement was issued by Fountain Hills, announcing that the new Sprouts location will represent a “significant step forward in the town’s ongoing effort to attract high-quality retail and grocery options for residents.”

Construction of the new Fountain Hills store is expected to see completion most likely in early 2026.

The new location, meanwhile, is part of an ambitious blueprint on the part of Sprouts to build upwards of 35 outlets by the end of this year. Work on another 120 or so stores could launch in 2026.

The company is also currently building a 144,500-square-foot presence in Phoenix that will serve as new headquarters and will also include yet one more store.

Based in Chandler, Sprouts was launched in the summer of 2002 and has in recent years enjoyed notable success with more around 450 stores nationally as of late last year. The company has additionally seen its sales regularly increasing in the last three years.

The reason for such success, contends the publication Grocery Drive, is due to the company “turning its stores into essential destinations for health-focused shoppers who are not as price-conscious as consumers who depend more heavily on traditional supermarkets.”

The chain has also done well with the very layout of its stores, reports the site Food Tank: “Their in-store innovation centers, for example, feature items unique to the chain where shoppers can discover new foods and ingredients.”

Specializing in a variety of natural and organic foods, Sprouts stores generally range in size from 20,000 to 30,000 square feet, with more recent stores averaging out at 28,000 square feet.

Representing its cross-country construction model, the company earlier this year built and opened new stores in Raleigh, North Carolina, and Tracy, California, among other spots.
