Plans have now been aired for the construction of a large data center in Peoria, Arizona that will encompass around 916,000 square feet.
The Plano, Texas-based Aligned Data Centers wants to build the facility at the intersection of 75th Avenue and Butler Drive, inside the boundaries of the Peoria Logistics Park. The site was purchased by the company just over a half a year ago for around $43.2 million.
As envisioned, what would be two structures would go up on a site measuring around 95 acres as part of a master planned industrial park located just two miles to the east of State Route Loop 101.
Documents for the project have already been filed with the City of Peoria. If the proposal becomes reality, notes the site Hoodline Phoenix, it will comprise “one of the largest data-center developments in the West Valley,” while also reshaping the “industrial profile of that corridor.”
Aligned Data specializes in hyperscale projects and has spearheaded around 50 campuses across the country, including sites in Chandler, Glendale, and Phoenix.
Last month it announced the construction of a new 540-megawatt facility slated to go up on a 313-acre campus near the northwestern Texas city of Abernathy with an anticipated completion date of early 2027.
