One of the largest sporting goods retailers in the country has announced plans to build a new location in Loveland.
The project by the Springfield, Missouri-based Bass Pro Shops will see the construction of a 130,000-square-foot building at Interstate 25 and Crossroads Boulevard, not far from the Larimer County Fairgrounds and Events Complex.
In a press release, the company said the new store would be particularly convenient because of its proximity to I-25, a thoroughfare between Denver and Cheyenne, Wyoming used by “many hunters and outdoorsmen and women seeking adventures across the range of the Rockies.”
The store, which is expected to be built and open for business by the fall of 2025, will mark Bass Pro’s sixth location in the Centennial State.
Launched in 1972, Bass Pro currently has nearly 200 locations, offering a wide variety of fishing, hunting, and camping equipment, as well as clothing, furniture, cooking accessories, and books.
Its airy stores typically measure anywhere from 100,000 to 200,000 square feet and are fun places with decorative entryways, fireplaces, aquariums, and water features. Each store is also designed to incorporate the landscape of the surrounding area.
A “signature creativity and attention to detail” are the hallmarks of every Bass Pro location, the publication Creative Magazine recently noted. The company enjoyed revenue more than $6.5 billion in 2023.
