A two-day auction with a starting bid of $3.5 million is scheduled to begin on October 10 for an unusual offering: two separate student housing complexes serving two different Eastern New Mexico University campuses.
The San Juan Village complex houses 90 rental units and was built in 2007, providing housing for students on the main campus of Eastern New Mexico University in Portales.
The complex, located at 1500 S Avenue K, comprises just under 131,000 square feet and includes five separate apartment buildings with a total of 90 units.
Sierra Vista Village, located at 28 W Martin Street in Roswell, serves students at the Roswell branch campus of the university and was also completed in 2007. The complex measures just a little over 99,000 square feet and houses 108 units.
All the structures on both of campuses are designated as Class B buildings and were auctioned off in a package deal in 2017 for $3.7 million.
The listings for the two properties are being handled by the Austin-based Newmark Group.
