Zecca Plaza in Gallup on the Market with Nearly $14 Million Asking Price

Located roughly two miles to the east of downtown Gallup, a 50-year-old shopping center off the famous Route 66 is up for sale with a price tag that works out to $126 per square foot.

Built in 1972 and 1973, the one-story Zecca Plaza measures more than 110,000 square feet and has long enjoyed a healthy tenant base. Designated as a Class C building, the structure is the home to an Albertson’s grocery store, Walgreens, O’ Reilly’s Auto Parts store, and Goodwill Industries store.

The property sits on a 6.4-acre site in a part of the city dominated by retail outlets, restaurants, and some offices.

Construction of the center launched in late 1972 and, because of its size, was much anticipated by area residents. Upon its completion the following year, the Zecca Plaza was valued at $2.5 million and was shortly sold to a Los Angeles investment company for $3 million.

Named in honor of Gallup businessman and state lawmaker Guido Zecca, the Zecca Center is being listed for sale by the Irvine, California-based Faris Lee Investments.
